The first batch of 35 new power system demonstration zones developed by CSG has been fully completed, marking a significant milestone in the construction of new power systems. This achievement ushers in a new phase focused on evaluation standards, comprehensive demonstration and promotion, cutting-edge technological support, and ecological co-construction and sharing. Building on this success, the company has commenced work on a second batch of 48 demonstration zones and projects. These initiatives aim to enhance the grid's capacity for clean energy integration, supporting the goal of achieving over 400 million kilowatts of new energy installed capacity across Guangdong province, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, Yunnan province, Guizhou province, and Hainan province by 2030. This effort contributes directly to China's "double carbon" goals.

The initial 35 demonstration zones span southern China's five provincial-level regions and encompass seven application scenarios: comprehensive demonstrations of super-large cities, power grids for new urbanization, modern rural grids, micro-energy grids, large-scale and distributed new energy grid connections, and virtual power plants. China’s first quantifiable evaluation standard for new power systems was also applied, offering replicable demonstration experiences.

In recent years, CSG has prioritized digital and green development, accelerating the adoption of industry-leading technologies, business models and equipment. These efforts underscore the company's commitment to facilitating global energy transformation toward green and low-carbon development. Currently, non-fossil energy accounts for 63% of CSG's installed capacity and 55% of its power generation, positioning the company as a global leader among power grids of comparable scale.
